Fees and rebates

Understanding the costs of care is
important in planning your wellness journey.

At Introspect Psychology, we strive to make our services accessible and transparent. Below, you’ll find information on session fees, payment options, and available rebates to help you get the support you need.

Fees – Group

Group therapy fees vary depending on the program. Typically, group therapy runs for 10 sessions. When booking or enquiring, our team can provide specific details regarding costs. With a GP referral, you may also be eligible for a Medicare rebate on group sessions.

Fees – Individual / Family

Our fees range from $200 to $250 (including GST) for a standard 50-minute session. Sessions with a Clinical Psychologist are $250, while sessions with a General Psychologist are $200. With a GP referral, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate, reducing your out-of-pocket costs to approximately $100 per session. For more information, please speak with our admin team when booking your appointment.

Fee - Payment

Fees are payable at the end of each session by cash or EFTPOS, with Direct Deposit available in some cases. If you have a Private Health Fund or a current Mental Health Care Plan from your General Practitioner (GP) or Psychiatrist, you may be eligible for a rebate. Medicare rebates can be claimed directly at Introspect Psychology Group at the time of payment.

Medicare Rebate

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on psychological services. This plan provides rebates for up to ten sessions (both individual and group therapy) per calendar year. Your GP will assess eligibility and, if appropriate, prepare the MHCP referral.

Note: A GP referral is not required to access our psychological services; however, a referral is necessary to receive Medicare rebates.

Private Health Fund Rebate

Private Health Fund rebates for psychological services vary depending on your provider. We recommend contacting your health fund to learn more about available entitlements for psychological treatment.
