Janet

is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, and a particular passion and expertise in autism assessment and therapy across the lifespan. 

She has been conducting comprehensive autism assessments for approximately 10 years and provides assessments for a wide age range, including very young children from 18 months of age through to adulthood. She also has particular expertise in assessing adolescents and young adults (approximately 16–25 years) and in female presentation, an important transitional period when individuals may seek assessment to better understand themselves and access appropriate educational, workplace, and NDIS supports. 

Janet is highly experienced in administering gold-standard diagnostic tools, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition (ADOS-2) and provides comprehensive diagnostic and capacity reports. Her assessment process is thorough, respectful, and collaborative, providing clear feedback and practical recommendations to support each individual’s needs. 

In addition to assessment work, Janet provides psychological therapy for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, and adjustment difficulties. She draws on evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy, tailoring her approach to each person. 

Her experience spans disability, child and adolescent psychology, and adult mental health, and she works closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to support positive outcomes. 

She is committed to providing a supportive and respectful environment where individuals and families can gain clarity, understanding, and confidence moving forward.

Janet

works with people from across the lifespan with a range of psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, stress and grief and loss. She specialises in children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities. Janet performs a range of assessments for children including ones for Autism and cognitive abilities (ADOS-2 and WISC-V) as well as adult Autism assessments and functional capacity assessments. She works collaboratively with parents and carers to ensure the best possible outcome for her clients.

Janet uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. Her experiences include forensic psychology, disability, child psychology and grief and loss counselling. Janet is currently studying the Master of Clinical Psychology which will increase her capability to offer more services and utilise more therapies in the future.
